Todo esto no sería posible sin el inconmensurable sacrificio de nuestros púgiles, los verdaderos protagonistas de nuestros éxitos. Y es así que ofrecemos todo nuestro apoyo a nuestros representados, quienes son las principales estrellas de nuestras veladas, siempre televisadas en vivo por el ciclo “Boxeo de Primera”, que se emite a través de la señal TyC Sports, llegando a los hogares no sólo de Argentina, sino también de gran parte de América.

 

Por todo esto, nos complace reencontrarnos con la información más saliente de nuestra compañía, tanto de lo desarrollado en los últimos meses, como también de lo que se avecina.

 

Como bien recordarán, la campeona mundial superligero de la Organización Mundial de Boxeo (OMB), la bonaerense Fernanda “La Camionera” Alegre, sigue con su consolidado paso encumbrándose como una de las máximas exponentes del boxeo en la región. A lo largo del año, defendió en tres ocasiones la corona que conquistó en diciembre pasado, siempre en forma amplia y convincente.

 

El 11 de marzo pasado, “La Camionera” (11-1-1, 5 KOs) arrolló a la colombiana Diana Ayala, por nocaut técnico en el sexto asalto. Tras ello, el 24 de junio, dio cuenta de la por entonces invicta brasileña Silvana Lima Da Silva, con un amplio fallo unánime. Y en su última presentación, el 30 de septiembre, derrotó con suma comodidad a la también por entonces imbatida colombiana Enis Pacheco, en otra holgada decisión unánime. Por ello, en su futuro sólo se vislumbran más éxitos. En breve, la tendremos una vez más sobre el ring, y en busca de mayores desafíos, ya sea extender sureinado o enfrentarse a alguna de las monarcas de las demás entidades, para dejar en claro quién es la verdadera reina de los63,500 kg.-140 lbs.-.

 

Por otro lado, otra de nuestras figuras que sigue cumpliendo con creces en cada ocasión es el campeón latino welter de la OMB, el invicto bonaerense Diego “La Joya” Chaves. Luego de retener por segunda ocasión su cinturón, cuando noqueó en sólo dos rounds al tucumano Héctor Santana el 7 de mayo, Chaves (19-0, 15 KOs) se presentó el 30 de julio en su casa, el Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield, donde entrena diariamente y es siempre ovacionado por una multitud. Y tras brindar una verdadera lección de boxeo, demostró su arsenal para castigar duramente al estoico -y hasta entonces innoqueable- ecuatoriano Eduardo “Cheíto” Flores, a quien derrotó por nocaut técnico en el noveno, defendiendo así por tercera vez su cetro.

 

Y mientras espera por su ansiada oportunidad mundialista, quien ocupa el 4to. lugar en el escalafón welter de la OMB, 4to. de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo (AMB) y 14to. de la Federación Internacional de Boxeo (FIB), volverá a subir al ring para seguir encantando a sus seguidores. Es que en fecha a definir entre el 18 o el 26 de noviembre “La Joya” expondrá una vez más su título ante un rival aún por determinar.

 

Quien también lució toda su potencia en la noche del 30 de julio en Vélez, fue el ex retador mundialista bonaerense Javier “La Bestia” Maciel, al destruir en un fugaz pero contundente nocaut técnico en menos de un capítulo al hasta ese momento imbatido brasileño Jonata Daniel De Oliveira, y así conquistó el título latino superwelter OMB, que se encontraba vacante.

Tras reinar entre los latinos medianos de la OMB y disputar el título ecuménico OMB de la categoría, “La Bestia” (19-2, 13 KOs) decidió bajar a la división que mejor le sienta, para luego sí conseguir su segunda oportunidad mundialista. Al igual que Chaves, quien se encuentra en el 12do. puesto del ranking OMB de la categoría, volverá a escena en fecha a definir entre el 18 o el 26 de noviembre,
estrenando por primera vez su cetro frente a un retador a confirmar.

 

Además, en una novedosa y resonante iniciativa, las actuaciones de Chaves y Maciel hicieron que hace menos de una semana, firmaran un acuerdo de patrocinio con el Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield, institución de renombre internacional que se acercó a ambos para tenerlos como fieles representantes. A través del vínculo, el club se compromete a brindarles un buen número de prestaciones, que van desde indumentaria para lucir en sus combates y entrenamientos; gimnasio e instalaciones para su acondicionamiento físico y deportivo; y un equipo médico a disposición para un completo desarrollo de su carrera. A su vez, contempla la prioridad que tendrá el club, dependiendo del calendario de los boxeadores y demás eventos, para actuar como anfitrión, en tanto escenario de sus próximas veladas, como ya ha sucedido en dos ocasiones, donde se vivió un lleno total. Los pugilistas, por su parte, como venían haciendo, asumen el compromiso de representar a la institución de manera profesional e idónea tanto arriba como abajo del ring.

 

Otra de lasestrellas que sigue brillando es el campeón argentino y latino supermediano interino de la OMB, el ascendente e invicto
platense Ezequiel “El Olímpico” Maderna, quien estáteniendo un 2011 de ensueño, con la obtención de sus dos coronas. Luego de hacerse del cetro argentino el 5 de marzo destronando ampliamente al experimentado monarca marplatense Rubén “Siru” Acosta, 28 de mayo, Maderna (15-0, 11 KOs) liquidó en menos de tres minutos a otro ex monarca nacional, el bonaerense Martín “El Matador” Bruer, haciéndose así de su cinturón latino. Sin conformarse, sacó a relucir todo su poderío el 27 de agosto al fulminar al experimentado uruguayo Jorge “La Perla Negra” Rodríguez Olivera, por nocaut técnico en la tercera vuelta, ante un colmado escenario de City Bell, testigo de su primera defensa de la diadema OMB.

 

Por eso, será nuevamente el Estadio Polideportivo del Club Banco Provincia de City Bell, el escenario que albergará su próxima aparición, el sábado 5 de noviembre. Allí, el 9no. del ranking OMB de la división irá por otra categórica definición que lo sitúe entre los mejores y a la espera de su primera chance ecuménica.

 

A su vez, Argentina Boxing Promotions continúa con su apoyo al campeón argentino y ex monarca latino pluma de la OMB, el bonaerense Jesús “El Jinete del KO” Cuellar. Considerado para gran parte de la prensa especializada como uno de los mayores prospectos del momento, Cuellar (17-1, 14 KOs) tuvo su primer y único traspié el 15 de octubre cuando cayó ante el colombiano Oscar Escandón, y así resignó su corona latina, en un sorpresivo resultado. Es que previo a ello, “El Jinete del KO” venía haciendo gala de su apodo noqueando a cuanto rival se le pusiera enfrente. Así lo marcan sus actuaciones ante el rionegrino José “Pamperito”
Sáez -KOT 2, el 15 de enero, defendiendo el cetro latino OMB-, el chubutense Ramón “El Moncho” Torres -KO 4, el 16 de abril, obteniendo el cinturón nacional-, y el cordobés Hugo “Polvorita” Gómez -KOT 3, el 23 de julio, reteniendo el latino OMB-. Y para
demostrar que un tropezón no es caída, el 7mo. del escalafón pluma OMB y 15to. del supergallo FIB regresó rápidamente a los entrenamientos buscando su mejor condición para retomar sin escalas la senda triunfadora. Y en breve, quiere revancha.

 

Quien lució una vez más en forma espectacular en la misma velada del 15 de octubre fue la ex representante de la selección argentina amateur, “Las Toritas”, la ascendente e invicta supermosca entrerriana Débora “La Gurisa” Dionicius, que continúa sobresaliendo y manteniendo su marca perfecta. Tan contundente fue su actuación que destruyó a la cordobesa Marta Juncos, de manera resonante y en menos de dos minutos, consiguiendo su tercer nocaut consecutivo.
Luego de representar con creces al país por todo el mundo, en su primer año como profesional, la carismática “Gurisa” (6-0, 3 KOs), que exhibió toda su línea durante sus tres primeras presentaciones, demostró que también tiene “pimienta” en sus puños. Sus definiciones hablan por sí solas: KOT 4 a la marplatense Yessica Muñoz el 23 de julio, KOT 6 a la hasta entonces innoqueable bonaerense Anahí Salles, el 27 de agosto, y el mencionado KOT 1 sobre Juncos del 15 de octubre. Y a pesar de que prefiere no saltear etapas, quien está considerada la máxima esperanza del boxeo femenino argentino sabe que, de seguir este paso, muy pronto se la verá en combates titulares.

Because of this, we make our best effort to set up first class international
events, always with the aim of bringing the best of our sport to the fans. All
this would not be possible without the immeasurable sacrifice of our fighters,
the true main characters of our success. And so we offer our whole support to those
we represent, who are the main stars of our events, always televised live on
the series “Boxeo de Primera”, broadcasted by the channel TyC Sports,
reaching not only Argentine homes, but also in a great part of American
continent.

For all this, we are pleased to reunite with our company’s most important news,
both of what has been done in recent months, as well as what lies ahead.

 

As you know, the junior welterweight world
champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), the Argentine Fernanda “La Camionera” Alegre,
continues her consolidated path towering as one of the region’s top boxing
exponents. Throughout the year, she defended three times the crown she won last
December, always in a wide and convincing way.

 

On March 11^th, “La Camionera” -“The Truck
Driver”- (11-1-1, 5 KOs) rolled over Colombian Diana Ayala, by technical
knockout in the sixth round. After that, on June 24^th, she beat the
undefeated Brazilian Silvana Lima Da Silva, with a wide unanimous decision. And
in her last presentation, on September 30^th,  she defeated with great range the also
unbeaten Colombian Enis Pacheco, with another comfortable unanimous decision.
Therefore, in her future only we can only glimpse more success. Shortly, we
will have her once again on the ring, and looking for greater challenges,
either to extend her reign or face any of the monarchs of the other entities,
to make clear who is the real queen of the 140 punds.

 

Another of our
stars who continues meeting expectations in each ocasion is the welterweight Latino WBO
champion, the undefeated Argentine
Diego “La Joya” Chaves. After the second defense of his belt, when he knocked in just two rounds his
countrywoman Héctor Santana on May 7^th, Chaves (19-0, 15 KOs) faught
on July 30^th at his home, Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield, where
trains daily and is always cheered by a crowd. And after giving a boxing lesson,
he demonstrated his arsenal to punish severely the stoic -and until then never knocked
out-Ecuadorian Eduardo “Cheito” Flores, whom he defeated by technical
knockout in the ninth, and defended his title for the third time.

And while he waits for his yearned world championship
chance, who holds the 4th. place in the WBO welterweight ranking, 4th. the
World Boxing Association (WBA) and 14th. of the International Boxing Federation
(IBF), will return to the ring to continue delighting his supporters. The date yet
to define is set between November 18^th or 26^th, when
“La Joya”
-“The Jewel”- will once again expose his title against an opponent to be
determined.

Who also showed all his power on the night of July 30^th in Vélez, is
the former world title challenger, the Argentine Javier “La Bestia”
Maciel, destroying in a brief but powerful technical knockout in less than one
round up to then unbeated Brazilian Jonata Daniel De Oliveira, and he won the junior
middleweight WBO Latino title, which was vacant.

After reigning among the middleweights Latino of the WBO middleweight and
disputing the world WBO title of the division, “La Bestia” -“The Beast”-
(19-2, 13 KOs) decided to go down to the weight that best suits him, in order
to then get his second world title chance. Like Chaves, Maciel, who is in the 12th. place of
the WBO ranking, will be back in scene on a date yet to define between November 18th or 26th, putting for the first time at
risk his title against a challenger to be confirmed.

 

In addition, in a new and resounding
initiative, Chaves’ and Maciel’s performances made them a week ago sign a
sponsorship agreement with the Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield, an
internationally renowned institution that approached both of them to have them
as their representatives. Through the agreement, the club committs itself to
providing a number of benefits, ranging from clothing to wear in his fights and
training, a gym and facilities for fitness and sport practice, and a medical team
available for the full development of their careers. Also, it provides priority
to be the club, depending on the boxers’ schedule and other events, to act as a
host, as the venue of their following fights, such as has already happened
twice, where they lived a full house. The fighters, meanwhile, as they have
been doing, commit to representing the institution in a professional and
appropriate way, both on and down the ring.

 

Another star that continues shining is the Argentine
and Latino WBO interim super middleweight champion, the undefeated Ezequiel “El Olímpico” Maderna, who is having a fantastic 2011, in which he obtained
his two crowns. After capturing the Argentine belt on March 5^th widely
dethroning the experienced monarch Rubén “Siru” Acosta, on May 28^th,
“The Olympic” Maderna (15-0, 11 KOs) destroyed in less than three minutes
another former Argentine monarch, Martín “El Matador” Bruer, to
conquer his Latino belt. Not satisfied, brought out all his strength on August 27^th
to strike down the experienced Uruguayan Jorge “La Perla Negra” Rodríguez
Olivera, by technical knockout in the third round, in a packed arena in City
Bell, that witnessed his first defense of his WBO crown.

Because of that, the Banco Provincia Club’s Sports Stadium of City Bell will be
the venue that will host his next appearance, on Saturday November 5^th.
There, the 9th. WBO ranked of the division will go for another categorical
definition that will place him among the best and waiting for his first world
title chance.

 

Argentina Boxing Promotions also continues
its support for the Argentine champion and former WBO featherweight Latino
monarch, Jesús “El Jinete del KO”
Cuellar. Regarded for most of the specialized press as one of the greatest
prospects of the moment, Cuellar (17-1, 14 KOs) had his first and only setback
on October 15^th when he lost to Oscar Escandón, of Colombia, and so he
gave up his Latino crown, in a surprising result. Prior to that, “The KO Rider”
did honor his nickname by knocking out every opponent put in front of him. That’s
what his performances against José “Pamperito” Sáez -TKO 2, on January
15^th, defending the WBO Latino title-, Ramón “El Moncho”
Torres -KO 4, on April 16^th, winning the national belt- and Hugo
“Polvorita” Gómez -TKO 3, on July 23^th, retaining the WBO
Latino crown. And to prove that he has still everyhting to conquer, the 7th. WBO
featherweight ranked and 15th. IBF super bantamweight ranked quickly returned to
trainings looking to get his best condition to get back nonstop in the winning
path. And soon, he wants revenge.

 

Who excelled again in a spectacular way in
the same evening of October 15^th was the former representative of
the Argentine amateur team, “Las Toritas”, the rising and undefeated
super flyweight Débora “La Gurisa”
Dionicius, which continues shining and keeping her perfect record.
So convincing was her performance that she destroyed Marta Juncos, in a
resonant way, and in less than two minutes, getting her third consecutive
knockout. After representing Argentina around the world, in her first year as a
professional, the charismatic “Gurisa” (6-0, 3 KOs), who displayed
all his technical skills in her first three presentations, showed that she also
has a tremendous power in his fists. Her definitions speak for themselves: TKO
4 to Yessica Muñoz on July 23^th, TKO 6 to the until then never knocked
out Anahí Salles, on August 27^th, and the mentioned TKO 1 on October
15^th over Juncos. And although she prefers not to skip steps, who is
considered the best hope of Argentine women’s boxing knows that if she continues
this path, we will see her very soon in title bouts.
