Abner mares acepto el reto

El campeon invicto peso pluma Abner Mares esta dispuesto a bajar de peso solo para enfrentar al campeon invicto Guillermo Rigondeaux.

Ahora mismo voy a tomar unas vacaciones para regresar a México. Todo el mundo habla sobre Rigo que deberia estar frente a mi y yo no le tengo miedo ", declaró Mares.

"Yo no me voy a ir para ninguna parte. Me encantaría pelear contra Rigo. Estoy dispuesto a pelear con él. No creo que ningun boxeador tenga miedo de pelear contra otro. Quiero que Rigo sepa que no le tengo miedo, ni me voy a esconden por él.

"Para la única pelea que puedo volver para las 122, es para esta pelea contra Rigo. Me siento fuerte y trabajado duro puedo llegar a ese peso, así que realmente no quiero volver a bajar a menos que sea para esa pelea", le dijo Mares a Radio BoxingScene.

Newly crowned WBC featherweight champion made a recent appearance on BoxingScene Radio to talk about his stoppage victory over Daniel Ponce De Leon. Over the past few years Mares has gone on a run rarely seen in the sport as he has faced elite competition from 118 pounds to 126 pounds.

I asked Mares if he thought this would be a good time to take a tune up fight or a fight that would be perceived as easier. Mares immediately turned the conversation to his undefeated rival WBC/WBA super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux who scored a big upset when he defeated Nonito Donaire last month.

"(A tune up?) I don't even know what that is (laughing). It is hard to say right now (who is next). It is so fresh. Right now I am taking a vacation to go back to Mexico. Everybody says Rigo has to be next and don't be afraid of Rigo," Mares stated.

"I'm not going nowhere. I'd love to fight Rigo. I'm willing to fight him. I don't think any boxer is afraid (of fighting anyone). I want Rigo to know I am not afraid of him or hiding from him."

Mares said that he feels stronger at 122 pounds and that he would only consider moving down in weight for a shot at the Cuban who beat him in the amateurs.

"The only fight I would go back to 122 for is the Rigo fight. I feel so strong and worked so hard to get to this weight so I don't really want to go back down but I would for that fight," Mares told BoxingScene Radio.

With Mares being promoted by Golden Boy and Rigondeaux co-promoted by Top Rank, the fight is highly unlikely to materialize.

Estos campeones son los que necesita el boxeo y no los floyd que evaden retos. Bien por Mares aunque creo que pierde por puntos.

Esta sera una buena pelea si es que se llegara a realizar, opino que Mares sera derrotado por cualquier vía por Rigo y esa es mi opinión. Pero, regresando al post, solo advierto que en esta ocasión, hay una gran diferencia en cuanto a la realidad de que se efectúe y es esta. Por que razón, creen ustedes que fue Mares quien hablo y no Oscar de la Hoya? Si mal no recuerdo, cuando se hablo de la Mares-Nonito, Oscar y Shaeffer ofrecieron 3 millones de dolares para ese pleito. A que le atribuyen que en esta ocasión, Oscar y Shaeffer estén tan callados con este asunto? esa es mi única duda.

Me hiciste leer todo eso solamente para que el escrito terminara con que es muy improbable que la pelea suceda.

Entonces por eso Mares reto a Rigo, si las probabilidades de que la pelea suceda son 0 entonces cual es el punto de todo este “hype” publicidad
